The AC10 Hand-Wired arrives in the UK

The long-anticipated Vox AC10 Hand-Wired has officially landed in the UK, bringing with it the unmistakable tone and character that made Vox a legend in the 1960s – now reimagined for modern players.

A celebration of heritage and craftsmanship, the AC10HWR is part of the new Vox Hand-Wired Series. Developed after studying pristine vintage AC15 and AC30 models, these amps are built to capture the true essence of the original Vox sound – not just in spirit, but in construction, circuitry, and response.

At the heart of the AC10 Hand-Wired is a completely reengineered power supply circuit, designed to emulate the dynamic voltage fluctuations that gave vintage amps their signature feel – including that natural compression and “sag” so many players crave. Vox has also addressed issues like ghost notes by refining the circuit for greater clarity, while still preserving the richness of the tone.

This 10-watt combo is compact, but serious in intent. A 12” Celestion G12M Greenback speaker delivers warm, expressive midrange with plenty of character. Inside, custom output transformers replicate the nuanced saturation of vintage models, adding depth and harmonic content that can’t be faked.

Every detail of the cabinet construction has been carefully considered too – right down to the thickness of the wood – echoing the slightly thinner materials of original 60s models that contributed to their rich tonal signature.

And while the AC10HWR stays true to its roots, it doesn’t shy away from useful modern features. A high-quality spring reverb unit adds spaciousness and character, while the integrated FX loop ensures your time-based and modulation effects shine with clarity.

The AC10 Hand-Wired is now shipping in the UK.
