Cambridge 30 Reverb and Cambridge 30 Reverb Twin
The Vox Cambridge 30 Reverb and Cambridge 30 Reverb Twin amplifiers have been designed and built with the same care and attention to detail as all Vox amps since 1957. These 30 watt combo amps include features like channel switching, custom designed Celestion Bulldog speakers (one 10" in the Cambridge, two in the Twin), 12AX7 pre-amp valve, Mid Range Boost and Gain Boost switches, headphone output, Reverb, Tremolo and much more.
Top Panel Features
Channel 1: This channel is used mainly for clean sounds.
- Input Jack. Standard 1/4" jack for guitar connection.
- Volume. Controls the overall volume. Set anywhere you prefer. Higher levels will overdrive this channel and produce a smooth distortion.
- Treble. Adjusts the higher frequencies or treble in your tone, from soft and full at one extreme to bright and cutting at the other.
- Bass. Adjusts the lower frequencies or bass in your tone, from warm and light at one extreme to dark and heavy at the other.
- Channel Select. Use this switch to select channel 1 or channel 2
Channel 2: This channel can be used for a second but different clean sound or a distorted sound depending on the settings of the controls and switches. The 12AX7 valve in Channel Two's preamp section delivers authentic valve tone.
- Gain. Set higher for crunch and distortion sounds and lower for cleaner tones.
- Gain Boost Switch. Press in for more gain and distortion. Switch off for cleaner sounds. You can turn this function on and off remotely with the optional footswitch.
- Treble. Adjusts the higher frequencies or treble in your tone, from soft and full at one extreme to bright and cutting at the other.
- Mid Range (MRB) Boost Switch. Press in for more mid range frequencies. Press out for a more "normal" mid range sound.
- Bass. Adjusts the lower frequencies or bass in your tone, from warm and light at one extreme to dark and heavy at the other.
- Volume. Controls the overall volume. Set high for clean sounds. Lower the level when setting the Gain control high for distortion or when the gain Boost Switch is pressed in.
- Tremolo Speed. Controls the speed at which the built-in tremolo oscillates.
- Tremolo Depth. Controls the intensity of the built-in tremolo for both channels.
- Reverb. Controls the depth of the built-in spring reverb for both channels.
- Footswitch. For connection to the optional footswitch. Controls Channel switching and Tremolo on/off.
- Power Switch. On/Off switch for mains (AC) power to amplifier. Plus power indicator LED.
